Moderately happy is a term one of my clients gave to me. He believes that is all any of us can be. While I agree with him on the level of 3D duality, I also would like to add there is another Reality waiting for us to find or rather return to within our being. This is what the Great Awakening or Ascension process is about- Evolving into our God Selves while here on the earth plane of duality. When you become the Beloved of your own heart, then happiness or Santosha is yours forever. This is the key to happiness.
