Vivekanandam Vidyashram Senior Secondary School (CBSE) Tiruvarur Students Witnessed the Historic GSLV- F16 NISAR Launch. Thiruvarur, 30.07.25 A group of 150 students from Vivekanandam Vidyashram CBSE school had the privilege of witnessing the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) historic GSLV- F16 NISAR launch from Sriharikota. GSLV-F16 is the 18th flight of India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) and the 12th flight with Indigenous Cryogenic stage. This is the 9th operational flight of GSLV with indigenous Cryogenic stage. The Payload Fairing in GSLV-F16/NISAR Mission is 4 m dia Ogive configuration. GSLV-F16 Mission is the first mission with GSLV to Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit. The GSLV-F16 with indigenous Cryogenic stage will place NISAR satellite into a Sun-Synchronous Polar Orbit. The students of grade 7 & 8, who were accompanied by their teachers, embarked on a 2-day trip to Sriharikota to witness the launch. The experience was both thrilling and educational, providing the students with a unique opportunity to learn about space exploration and the latest advancements in the field. From our school student,Master Sai Harish of class 8 has interacted with the Media Personnel. It shows our students passion and talents. The school ensured that the students were well taken care of throughout the trip, providing them with comfortable accommodation, nutritious food, and safe transportation. The staff who accompanied the students were attentive to their needs, ensuring that they had a memorable and enjoyable experience. We are grateful to ISRO for making this experience possible, and to our staff for their tireless efforts in ensuring the students' comfort and safety." The students were seen cheering and applauding as the GSLV- F16 NISAR rocket soared into the sky, marking a momentous occasion in India's space history. The trip was a testament to Vivekanandam Vidyashram 's commitment to providing its students with experiential learning opportunities that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.It was a thrilling and tremendous one!!!
