Keith made 2 music videos during his visit to the Austin, Texas area during the first week of May, 1988. He made a video for what became his very first #1 song and the #1 Song of the Year on Billboard and Radio & Records, "Don't Close Your Eyes." He also made this one for a track that was slated to be a single but was passed over in favor of "When You Say Nothing At All," which became his 2nd of a string of 5 #1 singles. Keith is featured here wearing his famous "Austin City Limits" outfit that eventually became housed at the Highlands Museum and Arts Center in Ashland, KY, where you can see it now. The fringes on the jacket have turned from black to red with age. This video was produced by Tamara Carlisle and directed by J. Michael McClary on May 7, 1988, and features improved audio.
