Listening is critical when you are working in or with something sound. While it seems very much like common sense, more than often people follow the "rules" or what they were told to do as opposed to listening and making judgement calls for themselves. Microphone angles matter! Acoustics is science and mic placement is art. When you use a microphone that is generally considered difficult to get ideal sound with indoors (like a shotgun mic) there are things you should consider when determining proper mic placement and in this video I'm going to go over some of those things in less than ideal circumstances. Using a shotgun microphone indoors will be easier after watching this video.
