There’s a moment on the Helix Bridge where it feels like I’m in a sci-fi film about a girl who moves through cities instead of time. Naturally, I check into Marina Bay Sands—the 5-star spaceship in the sky. Dinner at LAVO (the view makes the pasta taste 30% better), then straight to Marquee, one of Asia’s top nightclubs, for the kind of clubbing experience where the lights were so intense I briefly forgot my full name. Day 2: cultural redemption arc. Wandered through Chinatown, found inner peace at Thian Hock Keng Temple, and devoured more local food at the Hawker Centre like a woman possessed. Clarke Quay? Stunning. Gardens by the Bay light show? Honestly made me feel like I should call my therapist and thank her. This city is a fever dream—but in HD and with better public transport. Part 2 is coming.
