Hi my name is Sam and these are some of the abdominal exercises we want you to do before surgery. First of all, we will start with the easy option. 1. So we are going to lie down on the floor, making sure our back is nice and flat. You can either brace your head or you can keep your hands on your thighs and we are just going to come up and back down, just nice and smooth up and back down if you brace your head, if not, hands on the thighs up and down, making sure you are contracting your abdominal muscles on the way up and control of them on the way down. You are going to do those for 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off and you repeat it four times. The following exercise again:- 2. Lying down on the floor and instead of moving your upper body, we are going to move our lower body, keeping our back flat and we are going to tuck in and tap back down, tuck in, tap back down from there. Nice and smooth, nice and slow, controlling up and down. Again, 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, four rounds. The following exercise from there:- 3. You are going to stay in that upright position, the legs are going to be straight. We are going to have our hands close to our body and we are just going to have our fists closed, one hand over the top. We are just going to twist to one side and keep your head facing in the middle, twist the other side, again torso nice and high, just twist side to side, side to side. Again 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off, repeat four times. Following exercise from there:- 4. We will lie back down on the floor and then with our legs, we are just going to go tuck one in, extend out to the floor, tuck in , extend out to the floor, making sure pointing our toes, tucking them in, extend that to the floor, tucking them in, extend that to the floor. Again, we are going to do that for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off. Do that four times and from this exercise we will progress on to harder exercises on the next video.
