Where are they now? Remembering a husband-wife anchor team from WWMT's past

As WWMT celebrates its 75th anniversary, we're taking a look back at some of the faces who you may remember being on your screens at home. It's not often you find a television news anchor team who are husband and wife, but for several years in the late 1990s, that was the story at Channel 3 with Jamie Boll and Meredith Swanson. Jamie Boll joined WWMT in 1993 as a morning news co-anchor before moving to the evening to work alongside Judy Markee. Not long after Jamie arrived at the station, his then-fiancée, Meredith Swanson, joined him. The couple married and began anchoring together, creating a husband-and-wife news team. "I felt like it actually worked in our favor because, when you’re on the air with someone, sometimes you vibe together really well and sometimes you don’t. That chemistry doesn’t always really work. But when you’re married it works really well," said Meredith Boll. Initially, viewers were unaware of their marital status until Meredith's pregnancy prompted a public announcement.
