MILO MOCHI 🍡🍫 Mochi (pronounced MOE-chee) is a Japanese dessert made of sweet glutinous rice flour, or mochigome (which is known as Japanese sticky rice). It can be baked or steamed. With a chewy, smooth, elastic texture, mochi dough is often tinted with green tea powder (matcha) or other food colorings and formed into a final small bite-size confections Mochi shape. It is also similar to a Filipino sweet snack called "Tikoy". Mine is a Filipino version consisting with milo and dust with cocoa powder! HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN VERSION OF MILO MOCHI? INGREDIENTS: 9 tbsp Glutinous Rice Flour 2 sachet (24g) Milo 2 tbsp Sugar 160 ml Milk Cocoa Powder- for dusting PROCEDURE: 1. In a bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, milo, sugar then combine well. 2. Pour 160 ml of milk, whisk until well combined. Filter, use a strainer to remove some lumps. 3. Steam for 20-30 minutes in low heat. Allow to cool for about 5-10 minutes. 4. Pour all the Mochi Dough into a cling wrap so that easy to form. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to 1 hour until cold and set and so easy to cut. 5. Dust the surface with cocoa powder, put the chilled Mochi Dough at the center and dust with cocoa powder. 6. Cut into small square bite-size and cover all the sides with cocoa powder. You can now enjoy your Milo Mochi! Put in a clean small container/tupperware.
