Sliding Bard Door - • How to Build a Barn Door | $50 Lumber Easy Work Bench - • How to Build an Easy Garage Workshop Workb... ☀ About me I'm into building things for my home, lover of all things healthy/organic/non-toxic, learning new things, kind people & newly interested in a minimalistic lifestyle. _____________________________ FOR THIS PROJECT YOU WILL NEED: MATERIALS LIST: Full sheet 3/4” Plywood 1x3 @6ft (for blocking - to mount onto wall studs) (2) 1x2 @8ft (for face frame and lower back blocking) 2” Nails (for assembling cubby) 1/4” nails for attaching face frame and bottom blocking Spackle (or wood filler) + Putty Knife Wood Glue 1 1/2” Wood Screws (for attaching upper blocking) Sanding Block 220 grit 3” Construction screws or deck screws (for attaching cubby to wall studs) Paint + Paint Supplies TOOLS: Nailer Stud Finder Tape Measurer Circular Saw (for long plywood cuts or have the the department store cut for you!!) Miter Saw (for board cuts or have the department store cut for you) Level (for mounting on wall) Speed Square (to ensure 90 degree angles) Drill and drill bits MEASUREMENT CUTS: (2) Plywood @ 30.5” long x 13.5” deep (top and bottom) (2) Plywood @17”high x 13.5” deep (both sides) Blocking @ 32” long + an additional piece for the bottom. I used a scrap piece of 1x6 wood that was trimmed narrower, but you could use a 1x3 to make it more discrete …or you could add a back using 1/4” thick plywood @31 3’4” long x 16 3/4” high (leaving an 1/8 of an inch wiggle room on all four sides) instead of the blocking. (2) 1x2 @ 32” (top and bottom face trim) (3) 1x2 @ 15 1/4” (both sides and middle face frame) ————————— Once a week I upload a new DIY video.
