Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland, the United Kingdom and the British Isles. The summit is 4,411 feet above sea level and is the highest land in any direction for 459 miles. - 8 wild chill factor at the summit which didn't leave much to decide to descend quickly back to civilisation, which included a hot bath, beer (or two) and an extra hot curry, not all at the same time!
