If Full Self-Driving can make it here, it can make it anywhere. That line might sound like the famous song about New York, but in this case it’s absolutely true. In this video, I return to a city I deeply love and respect — New York City. It’s a place that has been very good to me over the years, and every time I come back it reminds me why it’s one of the greatest cities on Earth. But this trip is about more than nostalgia. I wanted to see how Tesla Full Self-Driving performs in one of the busiest, most complex driving environments in the world. Dense traffic, aggressive drivers, endless lanes, and constant motion — New York is the ultimate test. And of course, the highlight of the drive is crossing one of my favorite bridges anywhere in the world: the majestic George Washington Bridge. Every time I drive across it, I’m reminded of the incredible scale and energy of this city. This video is also personal for me. Over the years, I’ve lost several friends to car accidents. It’s something that stays with you. That’s one reason I’m so passionate about the technology Tesla is building.
