Known for her groundbreaking initiatives in plastic pollution control, wildlife conservation, and sustainable cooling solutions, Sahu's work has transformed Tamil Nadu into a global model for climate resilience. Key initiatives include Operation Blue Mountain to eliminate single-use plastics, the Tamil Nadu Green Climate Company focusing on coastal resilience, and Cool Roof Projects that are implemented in 200 “green schools.” Her leadership has also expanded mangrove cover, planted over 100 million trees, and initiated the Endangered Species Conservation Fund.
