ARRL Webinar: FEMA Family Emergency Communications Plan Training

As part of National Preparedness Month in September, ARRL has teamed with FEMA to offer a way for Amateur Radio clubs to present the FEMA Family Emergency Communications Plan to groups in their communities. This webinar provided context and training to those willing to present the FEMA material. While the FEMA presentation focuses on the Family Communications Plan and doesn’t specifically mention ham radio, the material offers Amateur Radio clubs a great opportunity to raise their visibility in their communities. Clubs may highlight Amateur Radio after the FEMA material is presented, if they wish. This webinar was presented by FEMA Region 1 Preparedness Liaison Sara Varela, ARRL's Ken Bailey, K1FUG, Host.
