The trail from Erjos to Masca is a fantastic 11,1 km hike in the Teno Mountains. After Erjos, the route climbs towards Cruz de Gala with a fantastic view of El Teide. The trail continous onto the Cumbre de Bolico ridgeline with wonderful views over the Masca Valley, Las Portelas and the Atlantic ocean. Unfortunately, a light Calima has hit the islands, which reduces the ocean views. Cumbre de Bolico is the meteorological divide between north and south, with dramatic differences in vegetation on the north and south sides of the ridge. The trail leads us to the beautiful mountain village of Masca, deep in the heart of the Teno mountains. Masca is definitely one of the most beautiful village in Tenerife.
