VSU 2025 In the Heart of the Garden

Evergreen Valley High School's Vietnamese Student Union is proud to present our 21st annual cultural showcase, "In the Heart of the Garden"! Linh is your typical overachieving high school student. After getting into a fight with her mother, she is gifted an unfamiliar, but beautiful flower brooch by her grandmother. She puts it on, clipping it neatly onto her shirt. But when she blinks and opens her eyes again, she is greeted by a strange looking boy in a garden standing right in front of her. She finds herself in an unfamiliar place, another world and reality entirely separate from hers. With the help of the boy and some mythical creatures, can she find her way home? We'd like to give a special thanks to our wonderful advisor, Mrs. Ehrlich. We also thank Cô Nguyen, Ms. Detar, Ms. Favela, Mr. Marsh, Mr. Diaz, Ms. Fenton, Mr. Pacheco, Ms. Garcia, Mr. Redillas, Mr. Tran, Mr. Tam, Ms. Rubio, and Ms. Quiroga for supervising us and allowing this show to come to life. We thank our tech crew, Anshi Jain and Mira Keo for lighting and audio, photographers, Mariska and Katelyn, trailer videographer, Chris Pham, and Vyvian Nguyen for designing our show shirts.
