Dawesome | Novum | Presets Preview (No Talk) The software synthesizer Novum was developed by Dawesome aka Peter V., but is distributed in the Tracktion program. The plug-in offers a new approach to granular synthesis. Novum not only splits imported samples into grains, but can also split them into six independent layers if required. This gives you individual access to the sound characteristics and the time course of the dynamics. A static sample becomes a malleable tone. It is also possible to exchange individual layers with those of other analyzed samples from the library. In this way, components of different instruments or sounds can be freely combined with one another. Dawesome Novum supports MPE and is available in VST3 and AU formats for Windows and MacOS, running on 64-bit systems. The plug-in is available now for an introductory price of $125. The regular price will be $179 after that. A demo version is available for download from the Tracktion website.
