Curse of Chucky (also known as Child's Play 6: Curse of Chucky or Child's Play 6) is a 2013 horror film and the sixth (chronologically, the fourth) installment in the Child's Play franchise. The film was written and directed by Don Mancini, who created the franchise and has written all sequels to date. The plot is set after the events of Child's Play 3 and is a prequel to Bride of Chucky. The film will be taking the series back to its horror roots. The film, which went into production in September 2012, will be the first direct-to-DVD installment of the series. It is currently set for an October 8, 2013 release. Brad Dourif has been cast to reprise his voice role of Chucky, which will feature his daughter, Fiona Dourif.
