Shiv Tandav Performance by 1100 Mothers | Assi Ghat Varanasi | FHDAF - 2021

On Women's day this year, (8 March 2021), 1100 mothers from all over the country came together at Assi Ghat in Varanasi to deliver a powerful performance of Shiv Tandav Stotram. With diyas (lamps) in their hands and positivity in their hearts, they sang in unison, focused on spreading light, joy and optimism in the world. Facing the timeless Ganga (Ganges) as the sun set over her distant bank, the sound of 1100 mothers singing Shiv Tandav Stotram reverberated across Assi Ghat and in the hearts of 1100 families who supported their mothers in this noble endeavour. They wore face shields and maintained perfect social distancing as they sang, sending a powerful message of safety to the entire nation as it grappled with a crippling Covid 19 pandemic.
