This video demonstrates our Proof of Concept (POC) agent built for the MMAI 891 course project. MMAi, Smith School of Business, Queen's University PetCare is an AI-powered veterinary triage and smart booking agent designed to help veterinary clinics automate the intake process for pet owners. Veterinary clinics spend significant time on intake calls where staff must collect pet symptoms, assess urgency, route the case to the correct appointment type, and provide guidance to worried pet owners. This process can be slow and inconsistent depending on staff experience. Our agent demonstrates how an AI-assisted workflow can streamline this process by: • collecting pet symptom information • detecting emergency cases • classifying urgency levels • routing to the correct appointment type • generating guidance for the pet owner The system combines rule-based safety checks with large language model agents to balance reliability and flexibility.
