"Hoy tuvimos el gran honor de entrevistar a Yasnaya Aguilar Gil! Yasnaya Aguilar es lingüista, escritora, traductora y activista ayuuk (mixe), originaria de la comunidad de San pedro y San Pablo Ayutla, del estado de Oaxaca. Estudió la Licenciatura en Lengua y Literaturas Hispánicas en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) y la Maestría en Lingüística Hispánica en la misma institución. Yasnaya Aguilar ha publicado en diferentes diarios, revistas y antologías, nacionales e internacionales. Es columnista en el blog Ayuujk del diario Este País. Ha participado en innumerables ponencias, conferencias y coloquios, nacionales e internacionales. Es colaboradora habitual de la Revista de la Universidad de México, Nexos y Letras Libres. Tanto en su trabajo literario como en su activismo, su preocupación se centra en los derechos lingüísticos, en las lenguas en riesgo y en la difusión y promoción de las lenguas indígenas, especialmente, de la lengua ayuuk. En el año 2019, Yasnaya Aguilar fue ponente en la sesión ordinaria de la LXIV Legislatura en la Cámara de Diputados, por el Año Internacional de las Lenguas Indígenas, en donde habló sobre las lenguas indígenas.
