Today Bodie spent time with the visiting juvie, lying on the nest & Bodie being the inquisitive one, always seems to be picking, preening or doing beakies with h/her new buddy. Gabby brought two fish in - the juvie got the first one but watch how amazing Bodie's mantles are! Bodie still needs more confidence to get in there and make a steal rather than waiting - I am sure Bodie will be making that big steal one day soon. Bodie does a lot of wingercising and even grabs the remaining fish head carcass and dances and jumps across the nest with it in h/her beak. Gabby will bring in a nice size fish after the juvie left the nest and Bodie gets to mantle, claim it and eat! Bodie has gotten very good at self feeding, unzipping, pulling, tearing and standing on the fish. Bodie ate the whole thing and even protected the food from the juvie's attempted steal. At the end of the day, Bodie & the juvie lie in the nest with Gabby on LOP. The juvie will perch on a branch in the nest tree again. This seems to be its new home.
