The ecoforestry movement, which started in the 1990's in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, encouraged local communities to value their forests, and using a portable sawmill to market the timber from individual trees so preserving the forest and earning money for village development. Spontaneously tree nurseries developed as villagers realised their forests were an incredibly valuable asset - not to be spoilt by selling timber to big timber companies who did not respect their environment. The film tells this story in two villages, one in each country.
