We are from Florida and we live super close to the beach, like a 3-5min walk and on our back is the Halifax River. We are surrounded by bodies of water. We also have Margaret our neighbor with a pool who’s gate access to the pool is easy and always open, no locks. It worries us that one day Kerri being the independent kid would just walk to the neighbors pool and jump or even accidentally fall. We go out on boat rides especially during the summer so it gives us confidence that Kerri is comfortable in the water. Kerris cousins Landen and Colten’s house have a pool and she hangs out with them every weekend. It’s impossible of her not to play and jump and ran around the pool with them. This might be heartbreaking to watch at first but after 4 days with her excellent swim instructor Aleesha, she was able to float on her back.
