Women have been looked down as an object of desire who have no purpose to serve. This attitude of the society also reflects in the rape cases in India. Lack of sex education, illiteracy, and attitudes and beliefs in terms of women are few causes. There existed a set of laws against the crime, which wasn’t at all in favour of the victim.
