I love interacting with Beckhoff colleagues from all over the world! Recently, I was having trouble finding a way to access the diagnostic history of an EL6910 outside the event logger. Fortunately, Piotr Szyszka came to my rescue with a really elegant piece of code that I think you might find useful. (He may have jokingly mentioned a BitCoin payment 💰 in there somewhere 😉) This TwinSAFE Diagnostics sample uses the TwinCAT 3 Event Logger library, as well as the TC2_EtherCAT library, to read a variety of diagnostic data from TwinSAFE terminals. The TwinCAT 3 Event Logger is an interface for exchanging diagnostic messages. When TwinSAFE terminals are configured in a TwinCAT project, they automatically send diagnostic messages to the TwinCAT 3 Event Logger. The sample code in this project demonstrates how to use the filter function of the TC3 Event Logger to read TwinSAFE-specific diagnostics messages and view them with TwinCAT PLC HMI. You can find the example project and documentation here: https://lnkd.in/gZ3t9EDG 🚀 Sample code created by Piotr Szyszka and Patryk Supel. 🙏 Are you interested in TwinSAFE?
