Huttentocht Kreuzeck Höhenweg (Kärnten, Autstria)

We made a huttentour in 2017 over a part of the Kreuzeck Höhenweg, in Karnten, the south part of Austria. The plan was to hike the full 5 days, but on the 3rd day we have to go back to the valley. We started our hike with the Kreuzeckbahn to an altitude of 1100m. From the mountainstation we hiked over the top of Salzkofel (2498m) to the Salzkofelhütte (1987m) for our first night in a mountain hut. It was amazing to join the other people, eat and drink together and tell stories about hiking. The second day we started our hike with some tough parts in direction of the Feldnerhütte (2182m) via Anna Ruhe (2508m) the highest point on this day. After 6 hours we arrived in the hut where the huttenwirt made great food including Kaiserschmarrn as a dessert. After a good night of sleeping, we started to go back to the valley. Via Hochtristen and Zwei Seen we hiked to the Emberger Alm. It was a great adventure and I'm sure we will do it again together with our little Wilderik. Do you want to do a Huttentour as well?
