Shawna values things such as sustainability, authenticity but most importantly, clothes being made with people and the earth in mind. Shawna has been living this way for the last five years and despite feeling like her most authentic self being dressed this way, she has received judgement because of her look. Shawna told Transformed: "People ask me all the time: 'do you really wear that?'... 'Oh you must smell because you look that way'. The worst comment I've had about my style is that I 'look like a tweaker' or 'that I'm on drugs!' At this point I think it's funny, I mean it's not true and people are just silly to say things like that." Shawna is also not in a conventional relationship, as she has two partners who also have very different styles. Shawna said: "I have a boyfriend who loves everything black and rock and a girlfriend who loves pink! All three of us are in a relationship together and it just happened very naturally and organically." Today, as their anniversary date night is coming up, Shawna is stepping away from the 'Boho hippie' style and with the help of makeup artist Siobahn, will be transforming into a 'soft glam' aesthetic to surprise her partners!
