Puerto De La Cruz offers a distinct holiday experience in Tenerife, blending traditional Canarian charm with modern tourist amenities. The resort is known for its dramatic volcanic coastline, featuring several attractive black sand beaches. The most notable is Playa Jardín, a landscaped complex designed by artist César Manrique, which features lush gardens, palm trees, and fine dark sand, making it a beautiful spot for relaxation. For an alternative to the ocean, the famous Lago Martiánez complex provides a stunning series of saltwater swimming pools, lakes, and islands, also designed by Manrique, offering a picturesque and safe place to swim.
