FRYING EGGS IN CAST IRON SKILLET - CLASSIC VS. ENAMELED

Thanks for joining us as we fry eggs side by side in an enameled cast iron skillet and a classic cast iron skillet! We have both the Lodge 11" red enameled coated cast iron skillet and the Lodge 12" pre-seasoned classic cast iron skillet and today we are frying eggs in both of them at the same time! The enameled skillet has an enamel coating on the inside and is a much smoother cooking surface than the classic. Note that as of this posting the skillet was not offered or described on the Lodge Cast Iron Website found here: https://www.lodgemfg.com/ But it is still sold by Lodge on their Amazon Page (see affiliate link below). The price points of the two skillets are very different and we want to know which one works better for frying eggs and/or is a better buy. Some questions we answer: Is the enameled cast iron really worth the extra money? Does enameled cast iron cook better than plain? Is enameled cast iron more or less non-stick? Does enameled cast iron skillet clean up easier?
