Hi friends! Today we will look at the new set of 52 Meiliang/Pretty Excellent watercolor set. https://amzn.to/4biJKlr This paint set was sent to me by Paul Rubens for review. One thing I love about Paul Rubens is how they listen to reviews and improve their products. The previous set of 52 watercolors had a lot of samy pastel tones with mixed pigments. They have removed 11 of the mixed pigment pastel shades in favor for more saturated single pigments in their own half pans. I think that is a great move! In this video, I will show you how to remove and insert the pans and swatch the range. I have done in-depth reviews on this line of paints and will link those reviews below if you want to learn more. Vibrant and transparent colors No chalkiness (except white) 29 single pigment colors Pigment info included Swatch chart included Half-pans you can rearrange Cons: The pans are a tight fit in the box A few colors are samy The tin is thick and not my favorite sryle Bottom Line: This is a great set and a great price! I still think the 36 set is the best bang for your buck but I like this 52 set if you want the additional colors. You can't go wrong with either.
