With my guidance you will create a beautiful lingerie set that will work as a formula to sew many more undies and bralettes. If you are familiar with the cinematic masterpiece that is The Sound of Music, then you are familiar with a great teaching by Fraulien Maria "when you know the notes to sing, you can sing most anything" and I want this class to be exactly like that. When you know the notes (in this case, the tools, materials and techniques) to sew, you can sew most anything, I will share with you the basis and "notes" so you can mix them all up and create anything you wish. I like to start with a bit of theory and then move towards practical exercises and examples to really understand the formula to lingerie, so you’ll be able to replicate the knowledge into different sewing patterns. While sewing a lingerie set as the main class project you’ll learn about elastics, the history of lingerie, what pieces make up a bralette and undies, and how is it they fit snuggly to our body, amongst many other things detailed below in the class outline.
