Thanks to the extraordinary convergence lines helped by a westerly wind, I fly the 387 km task straight stopping only once for a thermal. The competition is a AAT (Assigned Area Task) which is a sort of regatta but in 3 dimensions and with variable turnpoints (a circle instead of a point). In the video I describe the strategy, the tactics and describe the mountain scenery we fly through. Gran Sasso, Campo Imperatore, Majella (Monte Amaro), Lago di Campotosto, Monte Gorzano.
