This house plan is very susceptible to being overwatered it having a root structure rot. You need to try to thoroughly water the peace lily and let it dry out in between waterings. You also need to keep a close eye on making sure that the bottom soil in the pot it’s not too moist. The most common reason why peace lily house plants die is because of overwatering. If you can master this chances are your plant care will go very easy. With figuring out if your peace lily needs water you should start by putting your finger 1 inch into the soil to feel how moist it is. Another method is to start lifting up the parts of your house plants and feel how waterlogged the soil feels. You will start to learn how heavy each pot is if it’s dry versus holding water. If the leaves on your peace lily start to turn brown chances are it’s getting too much lighting. Consider moving the peace lily farther away from the window so that it gets less indirect lighting. This house plan does not like to play of indirect lighting.
