The Sahara is the largest hot desert of the world. We experienced the Sahara in Morocco, trekking for three days with Moroccan Nomads. The Berbers, or the Berber peoples, also known as Amazigh or Imazighen, are a diverse grouping of distinct ethnic groups indigenous to North Africa who predate the arrival of Arabs in the Maghreb. You can find multiple three day treks offered in Marrakesh for cheap. But cheap is also what you will get. 2 days in a car with a bit of time spent in the desert, riding a camel and hanging around other tourists. The experience with Hafid (  / sahara_tours_morocco_holiday  ) and his team is different. It's an honest experience and has nothing to do wih the crowded tours from Marrakesh. We required five days, including the two days to travel from Marrakesh to Zagora. Our three days included lots of walking, but we actually spent them in the desert, alone with our amazing guide M'bark (  / mbark_rabouz  ) and cook Ali. Our only company, three camels.
