Chris Darling: Race Director of "Crank the Kanc" uphill time trial

The "Crank the Kanc" race is an annual uphill time trial race that takes place on the Kancamagus highway in Conway, New Hampshire. 21.3 miles long, the race features 17 miles of "false flat" at a roughly three percent grade before ascending to a full on 7.8 percent for the remaining 4.3 miles. The race has been staged for 34 years now, and is part of the "B.U.M.P.S" race series.
