LEGO City Update: New train tracks, ballasting switches and finally RUNNING TRAINS! April 2022

Welcome to my first LEGO city update! I've been planning to realign the train tracks at the front of the layout for a while and finally took the plunge. The island platform was nice but I didn't like the sharp dog-leg in the track, so my plan is to rebuild the platform further up the line and use the extra space gained for sidings, a yard and some small buildings. In this first video, I tear out the old platform and tracks, lay down the new rails, ballast some switches and finally get to sit back and run some trains. I will post a longer running video soon with hopefully some onboard footage.
