In this video, I take you out for the perfect day in Nova Scotia's capital city to uncover the city’s rich history and vibrant Maritime culture. Come along as I spend 24 hours in the largest city in Eastern Canada, uncovering its must-see spots & hidden gems. My tour begins at the historic 19th century Halifax Citadel, where I enjoy stunning views of Downtown Halifax and the harbourfront and learn about the strategic role that this fortification played in the defense of Canada in its infancy. Next, I visit the iconic Alexander Keith's Brewery, which has been in continuous operation for over 200 years. Here, I take a behind-the-scenes tour to learn about the history of the brand, listen to centuries-old sea shanties, and sample their classic Nova Scotian brews. After, I head to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, delving into the poignant stories of millions of immigrants who arrived here as their first point of entry into Canada (including my own Mother & Grandmother!). Finally, I savor some of Halifax's best contemporary seafood at the Cable Wharf Restaurant, offering incredible harbor views in an upscale setting. Have you been to Halifax?
