Long after the day he earned his title as the Brave Locomotive, Linus continued to run excursions on his old route. He'd managed to weather being left behind by time's eternal march, but there was someone who wasn't so lucky. Samson was decades ahead of his time when he was first built, but those decades had finally caught up with him. Learning from his design flaws, locomotives proceeding Samson continued to surpass his "apex" Now practically everyone looked down on him, and he spent his time in the roundhouse more often than not. One evening came when Samson lamented the twilight of his life for all to hear. Linus, the sweet little soul he was, just couldn't stand to see his old friend suffering alone. Inspiration for this fan animatic came from listening to Thurl Ravenscroft's music a month back. I remember seeing that Mr. Chesworth imagined the locomotive characters being mute, but if they could speak, Thurl Ravenscroft's voice just feels right for Samson. Of course, Linus was voiced by yours truly. He's since recovered from the plushie incident. Linus, Samson, Henry, and Scarlet belong to Andrew Chesworth.
