Andy’s fixin’ up his John Deere 5200 while I’m in the kitchen putting the last of this year’s pepper harvest to good use in a batch of homemade hot sauce. Once that tractor’s fixed, Andy gives y’all a little tour of his tractors before we head back inside for supper. I’m making a big pot of homegrown vegetable soup with beef we raised ourselves and canned veggies from the summer garden. We finish the day with grilled cheese on fresh sourdough — simple food made with hard work and heart. Around here, that’s what we call workin’ hard, eatin’ good. 💛 Thank y’all for being part of this journey with us. Don’t forget to subscribe, share, and pull up a chair anytime. Hot Sauce 16 habeneros 4 poblano’s 4 bell peppers 8 banana peppers 3 cups of pineapple plus juice 2 cups ACV 1 cup sugar 6 cloves garlic 4tsp onion 2Tbsp brown sugar Salt/pepper to taste Combine all ingredient’s simmer until peppers are soft. Blend until you have your desired texture. Simmer an additional 15 minuets. Process per USDA guidelines or refrigerate.
