FHP Eye in the Sky Captures Idiots Doing Donuts in Street Takeover in Orlando

Incident Report: On June 22nd, 2025, at approximately 12:46 AM, I, Trooper C. Bonanno ID# 1592, was on patrol for a street takeover detail when I heard over the radio that there was a white Dodge Charger with the Florida tag RZAF49 doing doughnuts within the intersection of 34th Street and Bartlett Blvd with more than 20 vehicles blocking the flow of traffic through the intersection, as well as two other vehicles doing said doughnuts. I was in my fully marked Florida Highway Patrol vehicle, equipped with an overhead light bar and attached agency insignia and markings. My patrol vehicle is also the distinct "Black and Tan" color that is only allowed on FHP vehicles as per FSS. The air unit working the detail followed the vehicle from that intersection to Kirkman Road and Metrowest Boulevard, where at approximately 1:00 AM, myself and other State and Orange County units conducted a felony stop on the vehicle. Then at approximately 1:02 AM, the driver of the vehicle, who was later identified as Kirk Donnell Shaw and the rear right passenger, who was later identified as Antonio Jaffon Marqez Mitchell, were arrested for 316.191, participating in a street takeover. Both occupants were put in handcuffs and placed in the back of my patrol vehicle. At approximately 1:22 AM, I read Mr. Shaw his Miranda Warnings from my agency-issued Miranda Warning card. Mr. Shaw stated that there was a gun located under the front passenger's seat. A firearm was recovered, as well as ammunition. The firearm appears to have a silencer attached to the front muzzle area. I asked Mr. Shaw about the silencer, and he stated that it was just to add weight to the front of the firearm, and that it was not a silencer. Furthermore, a search of the vehicle was conducted due to the arrest and subsequent tow. During the search, a bag of marijuana labeled "Kirk's do not touch" was found, as well as medical marijuana found near the vicinity of the rear right passenger. The prescription for the medical marijuana was for a Juan. None of the occupants in the vehicle were named Juan. Also, the cellphone belonging to Mr. Shaw was located on the driver's seat of the vehicle. In plain sight, Instagram and other messages repeatedly popped up in reference to different locations and information for the takeovers that have or will occur. Mr. Shaw's cellphone was then submitted as evidence to the FHP International Drive Station awaiting a cellphone search warrant to be signed off by a judge and subsequently executed. The vehicle was then towed and both occupants were taken to the Orange County Jail without further incident. All events occurred in Orange County.
