The Phantom Program for 2042 has had some strange and surprising developments. In the new version of Iwo Jima, there's an underground facility that houses 'The Prototype', which is based off of a Best Buy exclusive weapon / weapon skin for Battlefield 2142. Why not choose a base game weapon that more people are familiar with? The second 'surprising' aspect to this is how players managed to bug parts of the puzzle, and forge a path into the reward room far earlier (and undeserving) than how it should've been. As much as I want to do and enjoy the Phantom Program properly, it's a bit late for that.
