Announcing Our 2024 - 2026 Strategic Plan | Whitlam Institute

The Whitlam Institute’s new Strategic Plan charts our course for the next three years. With a clear vision for our research and policy work and a strong commitment to promoting knowledge about Australian democracy and political history, we are striving together towards a more equal, open and tolerant Australia. Our three strategic priorities for 2024 – 2026 are: 1. To build impactful research that informs transformative policies. 2. Strengthen collaborative partnerships and outreach to drive systemic change. 3. Champion the contemporary relevance of the Whitlam legacy. Across our diverse work, we will uphold the Whitlam values of equality, accessibility, equity, inclusivity, social responsibility, fairness, and respect. In fostering connections with Australia’s past and highlighting its enduring impact on the present, we work to champion the social justice, active citizenship and bold policy agenda that characterised the Whitlam government.
