Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake DQ2 Playthrough | Part 26: Escape into Rendarak NOTE: The raw video was almost 2 hours. As such, this video is split into two smaller videos. Gawain and his crew continue on in the Passage to Rendarak. Things are getting intense, to the point that there are more battles than ever. They head further up, only for Gawain to be separated from the others. He encounters a Hypermalediction and the worst part is that it's one-on-one. Make sure Gawain has full HP and MP. Once that's done, focus on getting Wild Side followed up with Demon Demeaner. Since it's a demon, it's fair game. If things get worse, make sure to use Meditation. It's essentially a full heal. Play your moves carefully cause he can make more than one move per turn. Once the demon is defeated, you reunite with your party and continue. What follows is you going through several mapless rooms. They are annoying especially you had to contend with Mimics. But eventually we reach near the exit only to encounter Peronel. With a little help from a special locket, we expose the fake and it turns out to be none other than Belial. This time, Peronel is getting her revenge. Buff your party first then go all out using spells and abilities. Make sure Gawain has Wild Side and Oomph so you can follow up with even Demon Demeaner or Cutting Edge. Though make sure Gawain has Focus Pocus on and Caradoc with Reheal. So that way, you can use Souped-Up Skills. Belial is no laughing matter. After beating him, he reveals that Belial joined Hargon out of necessity since he summoned them. Belial. Mariella. Pazuzu. Atlas. They all serve him. He offers to help but we say no. Trust me. We will face him again. We also obtain the Mark of Moonbrooke. We arrive at Rendarak only to find it filled with snow and ruin. There's a shrine nearby we can use to rest up. We also find a priest who gives us the Ultimate Key. Yep. With this, we can open black doors and chests. Part 27 is an ultimate key world tour.
