It's my favorite place in the Pacific Islands so far (and top 10 site in the world). Nan Madol is an ancient city built some 2,000+ years ago out of volcanic rock and sea coral on the Eastern shore of Pohnpei island in the country of Micronesia 🇫🇲 It’s something like Angkor Wat but on the middle of a remote island... It was a place for royalty gatherings as well as the burial site for the king and queen. I honestly hadn’t heard about it until a week ago when my friend mentioned it to me in Nauru, and I am completely blown away by what I have seen here. My friend and I were we were the ONLY ones around to explore and it is just fascinating. Have you ever heard of Nan Madol before? Add it to your list!
