Part three of 'A video recap of hiking the Isle of Wight' St Lawrence to Compton Bay (HD)

Part three of a series of six, hiking around most of the Isle of Wight back in May 2024. On this day we covered another 16.3 miles from St Lawrence were we ended the day before, walking to Compton Bay, which was just short of our originally planned Freshwater Bay finish. Weather started a little damp and a bit of cloud along the way, but decent overall. There was a lot of coastal erosion at the mid to later sections and a few unplanned diversions where the coastal path had basically fallen down onto the beaches below along with the boardwalks or stairs etc. Great views along the way and little mapped diversions were you go around the various 'chimes' to get back on the coast. This section covers the infamous Military Rd which they know is going to disappear into the sea at some point with the current erosion rate. Make sure you take a map on this section to plan diversions when the path has disappeared, as they aren't all sign posted! Filmed in HD and 4K, watch on a TV if possible.
