Power was similar to last year but form was better. Too bad I did not have the legs. Could not even crack the 180 hr. Their breaking in wet is more on the advisory side. So had to keep my distance on the flat part. Started the climb with a big group. No big attacks, we stayed together. After the toll gate did not take any risks and hang on to HPO for a nice 5.3-5.6 tempo. Collecting riders along the way. I was within my capability but still run out of power before last 25 mins. It was bad too, averaged 300w or so till finish. All went wrong in 5 mins. No idea why. I have no problem with weather or altitute, had an ok run up to the event. Perhaps whoever can find the answer they would deserve a phd for the work. Anyway, season is long and for the first race this was pretty good. No complaints.
