Estelle, a short film directed by Raqib Arbee and screened at MMU Cinema in July 2025, follows a young girl navigating the quiet aftermath of losing her father, a respected boxer. Through ordinary moments of household routines disrupted by the news of his death and the solemn funeral where she meets Redza, her father’s perceived successor, Estelle appears emotionally detached, uncertain of what she feels as life continues unchanged. Drawn back to her father’s empty training hall, she witnesses Redza’s dedication and eventually joins him, confronting her grief through physical expression. As she punches the bag and spars with Redza, Estelle gradually uncovers the emotions she had buried, beginning to process her loss and reconnect with her love for her father. As the official soundtrack for the short film, this song mirrors Estelle’s emotional journey, its longing refrains capturing her inner state and echoing her sense of being “stray, far, far away.” “I wish to make this story a reality as I myself, as a brother feel I have been absent in my siblings’ lives.
