For some reason Bateaux Thames doesn't come up when i type it so i just checked in but clearly i'm not there i'm at home doing the videos. Bateaux Thames River Cruise. Discrimination or should I say DISCRIMINATION still exists as Danny Richardson and I took an Afternoon tea river cruise just a couple of weeks ago. Danny and I were married at the British Consulate in Melbourne and I told the waiter we were on our honeymoon in the UK having recently been married. The waiter said so nothing else... I thought that seemed a strange response but maybe they did not want to publicly announce it along with all the birthdays and anniversaries like everyone else so we were left out. Public discrimination still exists on this cruise ship. I told my younger brother whom i met up with later that week in London for Dinner and he asked why didn't i mention it at the time... i said what for another free discrimination cruise... i think not. People should do the right thing all the time and not come running to apologise if they were even going to. I don't want an apology, we just want to be treated equally first time all the time. We are, however, extremely saddened to hear that your Afternoon Tea cruise with us was not the overall positive experience you no doubt hoped for and expected. I can 100% assure you that there was no deliberate discrimination on our behalf. We have looked into the matter to ascertain why your recent marriage was not announced and it was indeed miscommunication from our side. As you witnessed on the day, our staff were delighted to announce several special occasions and it is likely the relative high volume of announcements that day meant yours was accidentally missed out. All of our cruises are welcome to everyone and special announcements not limited by sex, race, sexuality or disability. So, the fact your recent marriage was missed out in being announced is a highly regrettable but accidental anomaly. Your comments above have made it clear that you do not want an apology.
