To kick off our "Good Neighbor of the Year" series, Leeann Trotter from NBC Chicago shines a light on Pearl, the Artistic Director of Firebird Community Arts. Firebird is a nonprofit on the West Side of Chicago that offers glassblowing workshops and therapeutic group sessions for young people working through trauma. Pearl shares how the dangerous workshop environment presents a great opportunity to work on relationship building, trust and collaboration. Executive Director Karen and NBC 5 "Chicago Today" host Matthew Rodrigues join live from the art studio to give a tour of the workshop and show off some of the participants' finished pieces of art.
