Rollerblading in 2024 has been amazing and it's time to celebrate the best skaters of the year with awards. First of all, thank you to the people that supported the prize pot. Your contributions have made these rollerblading awards meaningful. It's brought more attention to male and female skater of the year, people care more, it's more valuable and actually stands for something. Importantly our best skaters, those that have contributed to the conversation the most, get rewarded. Your support will changed the landscape of rollerblading - This year skaters are going to be more motivated, they will be incentivised to put more care into their videos and really craft their sections. Nils Jansons won Winterclash, Joe Atkinson won best trick and was doing tricks only he can do. Young Brazilian, Ana Julia Da Silva was one of the stand out skaters from Winterclash winning the AMs while Mery Munoz took the win for the women in her latest USD Aeon pro skate. It was a huge year for female skating. Icon of rollerblading Fabiola Da Silva final got her first pro skate after decades at the top. Chihiro Azuma also got her first pro skate, a 909 from Them and followed that up by winning the blading cup 2024. Tias Colares Also got a pro skate from Razors and there was massive competition performances at the world skate games that really showed the standards are picking up. Seoa Jang is usher in a new level of skating a technical skating for females and it only getting better. While Sean Kelso and Julien Cudot have dominated the skater of the year conversation for the last few years other names were starting to have an impact. Cameron Talbott jumped in with 4 elite skating section this year and will be a force in 2025. Levi Van Rijn got his pro and was bringing something fresh to rollerblading across Mesmer team videos and solo edits. The goat of rollerblading Alex Broskow had bit a pieces all throughout the year, with stories better than some peoples edits.
